Collection Organisation

Late Mrs. Geeta Nihchal Israni Library has developed an excellent collection of Books, Journals, Non Book Material. It maintains separate collection of Reference Books, Bound Volumes of Journals, Theses, Compact Disc’s etc.

Our Library maintains collections of books on subjects such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacognosy etc.

Rules & regulations:

  1. The Library will remain open for reference and study from Monday-Saturday 9.00a.m. - 5.00p.m.
  2. Closed on : Saturdays, Government holidays and during Stock checking Readers are requested to observe strict silence in the Libraiy and to avoid causing inconvinence manner to other readers. The Library must not be used as a Common Room or as Repository for bags, umbrellas and books. The Students will be suspended for 15 days if he/she Is not maintaining the library discipline.
  3. Conversation, Eating and Smoking in the Library is strictly prohibited. The reader who is violating the rule will be fined weakly.
  4. No books will be issued in summer vacation. At the end of the Academic year the Librarian will Display on the Notice Board the last date for return of the books. Failure to return by this date shall be deemed as a loss of the book and the amount would be recovered as per the rule.
  5. Books must be returned in good condition as they were issued from the library. If it is found that any markings, or damage of books the borrower will be liable to pay the full price of the book.
  6. On returning books, borrower should ensure that receiving Clerk/Librarian discharges the loan entry with his/her signature. Until this is done, the borrower Is responsible for the book.
  7. If the students is carrying Cell phone/Mobile, Students should switch it off before entering into the library, to avoid disturbance.
  8. Books or Journals should not be used as a paint when joting down notes or left open, on the table and should be handled carefully to avoid damage. Any accidental damage should be immediately reported to the library staff.
  9. Any student making use of the Library should deposit his/her Identity Card while refering books.
  10. Books taken for reference in the library should be entered in the Register maintained on the counter before taking to the Two books will be issued for reference for under graduate students and three books for the Postgraduate students.
  11. Reference books and Journals will not be issued.
  12. An acceptable fresh copy should be replaced in place of borrowed book, if it is not returned or damaged, within 30 days of the due date. Failed to return shall be treated as irrecoverable and the borrower shall be charged, in addition to the overdue rine, double the current price of the book, which will be decided by the Library staff.
  13. Newly admitted students have to produce their Fee Receipt and gets their Identity Card, for registering them as the borrower.
  14. Home issue of books will be collected or returned between 9.00.a.m. to 4.00p.m.
  15. For home issue of books Claim slip has to be Filled a day earlier and the book will be collected by the students next day during the issue timing. Failing again they have to fill the claim slip for the same.
  16. Under graduate students will get one book issued for seven days.
  17. Borrowed book must be returned to the Librarian the due date, failing to return has to pay fine of Rs. 1.00 per day or more than one week & afterwards Rs. 2.00 per day.
  18. The Book returned by the borrower may be re-issued to him/her after 24 hours of the day.If there is no other claim for the same book.
